We used these gloves for skiing this weekend. My son is 5 years old, he is studying at the moment. He spent a lot of time on the ground, pushing himself off with his hands. These gloves got wet inside and out. I bought a pair of gloves at the resort and they never got wet, not once. I don't recommend if your child is building snowmen, making snowballs, etc. They fit well and warm hands well, but they are advertised as "ski" gloves, which of course they aren't.
