It's strong and it takes a saint to use it on your face and not choke on the smell. I used it on my legs and let it sit for 7 minutes and then removed it from my legs with a shower brush. The only 2 problems I had was that after wiping with a damp cloth, limescale remained on my leg. The second problem wasn't the product, but wherever I had ingrown hairs or bumps it was a little annoying.
