This duvet is exactly what I was hoping for

The features that Amazon gave me are not at all what I appreciate about this duvet. The duvet is quite hard and heavy, but I appreciate both. It doesn't have any of the characteristics of synthetic blankets that I wanted to avoid. It's hard enough for me, thin, I think it might not fit your body enough to be warm if you're sitting on the couch (and a bit different) with it in a cold room. However, as a top layer over my duvet to add warmth and weight, it's just about perfect. It changed theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great overall features
Cons
  • Some little things

Suitable for a specific niche just not mine.

I hate to give this blanket only 3 stars. It has a beautiful pattern, fine workmanship, and is perfect for sleeping with the windows open in the northern state in the summer, and has a greenish tint. I was hoping the blue "haze" would be grey-blue, but as you can see in the attached picture it leans heavily towards green and really didn't suit my bedroom. Also, it's a lot heavier than I expected and can be used here in California. I wish I had a cabin on the Maine coast! I definitely decided to

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • Modern

A high-quality duvet that is really worth the price!

This is a very heavy cotton blanket that breathes well despite its density. It's not super soft, but it seems to get softer with time and use. It reminds me of the cotton blankets my grandparents had in their 50's and they were cozy but still had that fresh, sturdy feel that's hard to find today. This blanket probably won't age, it will only get better. Using a leather sofa for a large dog (up to the size of a Great Dane) as shelter means you don't have to worry about a nail piercing the skin.

Pros
  • also understandable for old people
Cons
  • without insurance

Loved the comforters but wish the blue was softer.

The first Moonstruck duvet I found looked like it had been used, it had been washed several times, especially compared to the blue duvet I ordered at the same time and the Moonstruck Duvet was softer and 3-4 inches smaller than the new blue. I sent the moonstruck blanket back and got a replacement that was softer than the blue one, but I compared it to the already washed blue blanket and the moonstruck blanket was a few inches taller than the (washed) blue one. I figured the gray Moonstruckโ€ฆ

A small "diaper " after washing.

The smell wasn't strong, but it was a bit like ink, so I washed the quilt. The double sized apricot duvet was the color I expected and a beautiful duvet. It held its color well after washing, but it "fell out" or whatever you call it when the material got these little sticky, textured things. Nice comforter but after the first wash it didn't look or feel as new as it did when I got it. So I'll see how it holds up over time. I don't know if this issue affects durability or something like thatโ€ฆ

  • Good, but not very good

Blanket with fringes.

This blanket has fringes on both ends of the plaid. This was not shown in ANY photo they show nor in the description of the duvet. You could save me a lot of time if you would mention this one fact. I absolutely HATE fringes. they never stay straight. They get confused no matter what material you have (organic cotton?). Look I love watching Chip and Joanna they have great ideas and I'm always impressed with the finished project but right now they are selling what they think are the bestโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cool product

  • Something different
