Enhance Your Camera Movements with the Manfrotto Pan Bar for MVH500AH & MVH500A Series Head Review

This product was advertised as suitable for Manfrotto 500 series heads, but it does not fit 503 heads. It screws into the slot but the locating thread is too small, making it impossible to pan/tilt heads.

I'd like two tripod grips to make panoramas smoother and less shaky. I ordered this second pan and it fits perfectly. Now the cameraman can capture smoother panoramas and the video is much better. I highly recommend!

Thanks to Paul Darwin for the review. Based on his feedback that the teeth are too small, I bought it for another Manfrotto head with smaller teeth. I bought an MHXPRO-2W with no crank and gearing and bet on it. Worked great except the bolt was shorter than needed for this head. I went to Home Depot and bought an M6 threaded bolt about 40-45mm long and now it fits perfectly.

Works as intended but is not the same size as the original pan pole that came with the Manfrotto tripod head. The attachment end of the panning rod does NOT match the teeth of the tripod head and therefore often slips when used in a vertical position, and the screw must be tightened enough to almost break the Manfrotto panning rod MVH500AH and MBX500A 500 series head
