I have a Canon 70D, my camera is not on the compatibility list but it fits perfectly. Because of the way it's arranged, you can set up the hot shoe in a number of ways to suit any DSLR. The compatibility list (which is easy to find on the website listed in the instructions) is only used for electronic connections to your camera, e.g. E.g. electronic focus control, start/stop recording, etc. It is very easy to balance and use for recording. Excellent purchase!

I love Manfrotto and have been buying their units for years. This gimbal didn't work. I have returned 4 stabilizers in the last 3 years. In Manfrotto's defense, the device I purchased was "updated" through Adorama. Whoever worked on it needs another job. Adorama also charges you when you return items, even if they are defective. This gimbal is solid, holds any of my cameras with ease and seems like a great addition to my toolbox. I gave 3 stars because the instructions are absolutely terrible. It only shows how to assemble part of it and if you order an accessory kit there is none at all. It doesn't show you how to connect the camera to devices or Bluetooth/WiFi, it doesn't show you how to connect a remote control, and I have a ribbon accessory bar and I have no idea where it goes.
