I needed to upgrade my laptop hard drive from 160g to 500g and my guru said I need an enclosure. I sent him information about it and he agreed. Worked great. I keep my old hard drive in it and after knowing the new one will last I can easily use 160 for an external hard drive with this case.

I installed a PS4 hard drive in this case. I didn't even look at the manual. It is so easy. Please note that if you want to format the disk for use with Windows and MAC, select the exFAT format (I had to google this format).

About a year ago my laptop died and I foolishly failed to back up my music or personal documents. While most of my music was purchased through the iStore, much more was copied from my CD collection. This case is light and strong. It's no coincidence that Kingston uses this case for their SSDs. One thing is short I love this product, I just need my brother to give it back to me :)

For a long time I was skeptical about plugging a diskette from a dead laptop into a dead USB housing. I have 3 large external drives and they all have massive power cords. There are no problems here. Very slim design, my 2.5 inch HD fits perfectly and as it uses a snap mechanism no screws are required. larger than a WD Passport. Built-in USB is really great, although the cable is a bit short. So why 4 stars then? I deducted a star because of the "MANHATTAN" logo on the case. Looks cheap IMO .on the back.***UPDATE: My hard drive in this thing is dead after 2 months of use. I was still able to recover my data using some tools but it's not trustworthy!

Replaced my smaller drive with a larger one for my Mac mini and used the smaller drive in the Time Machine case, works great. I've been working at Microcenter in Atlanta and I've seen all kinds of cases and I look at a lot of products, even if they're cheap. This case is well made, easy and secure to install a drive and very portable, USB cable is short, my bit sits right on top of my miniature Mac and I have a short extension cord for it, hey well worth it.
