Marimekko Rosarium Duvet Cover Queen Review

I was very happy about this as Marimekko is an expensive brand. However, the dyes lose quite a bit after following the washing instructions. I could try to return it. But it is very disappointing that the dyes need to be fixed before washing and there was no written indication that this was necessary. What a shame for such a good brand.

It is exactly what it looks like. I was lucky enough to pick this up from the Revain warehouse. And it didn't disappoint. The color scheme is the same as in the picture: light orange, pink, some colonial blue, olive green and some maroon. And lots of black accents. I intend to place this in a neutral guest room with a black accent wall, an old warm colored dresser and gold accents.

I've always been a fan of Marimekko design. I was excited to redesign my bedroom around this beautiful set - even ready to be repainted. Washed according to instructions. Not only did it become quite prickly after washing, but there were bruises everywhere when ironed - the color has expired. So incredibly disappointed. I haven't washed anything this color in years! Come on Marimekko. you can do better

It's definitely big and colorful and I like making a bold statement for my room. I've retracted comments saying it's soft because I don't buy something this expensive just for the pattern. I received the blanket, Amazon sent it very quickly! It's really pretty, more white space than I expected but the colors are nicely muted dark. However, it's very prickly, not soft at all, and I'll be returning it to look for something softer.

later. I was obsessed with this duvet cover and miraculously found it on Revain for $50 cheaper than anywhere else! I grabbed it right away and I'm so happy I did! Delivered the next day, very happy with the quality and brightness! It was everything I expected and more. The weight of the material was slightly heavier than our previous duvet cover and now we don't need an extra blanket on the bed to keep us warm at night. It was an absolute bonus!

At first I wasn't sure what I would think of the brightness of a duvet. for some reason I thought it would be a little more subdued. But after a few days in bed I decided I liked it. It was difficult to put on, but I've never had a duvet cover, so I'm certainly not scolding him for it. I took off a star because one of the ties connecting it to the comforter fell off immediately and my husband had to sew it back on. The other three look like they could fall easily too, but time will tell!

My bedroom looked sad. Everything was grey, soft blue and dusty green. I had to decorate it and add some color to make it happy and attractive. I was like, "Hey lady" (which is ridiculous to say to myself). "You should check out Merimekko's lines!" Merimekko was tall when I was a little girl in the 70's, and Crate and Burrell lugged their stuff. I have to commend myself for a great idea and willingness to spend money.
