I've tried 5 or 6 brands of charcoal soap and this soap is the best. The bar is large so you get a lot for your money and it cleanses my oily skin without being too harsh and leaves a nice masculine scent. I used it for 6 showers and the bar didn't go down at all. I have used the soap dish at least 3 times. The product is BLACK. Every time you shower with it, everything in your tub (or shower) turns black. I spend 15 minutes in the shower and another 15 cleaning up afterwards. It's a huge piece of brick (and that's no compliment to the size). I'm 5'10", weigh 240 lbs, I have fairly large hands and it's hard to actually grab it (it's shaped like a brick (no curves), it has absolutely no smell. This bar is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. It smells amazing too! Can't wait for my husband to start using it but we have loved all of the Marlowe products we have ordered so far! :)

Today I used this remedy only on my body for the first time. It comes in a box with no packaging, so there's a good chance it will soil things if there are other items in the box. I feel very clean after using it but it leaves a weird sticky residue after you rinse it off. I would definitely not use it on my face. I'll try it for a few more days and see if it's worth keeping. But the scent is very pleasant.

I love the cleaning power of this soap. I can't tell if it's really helpful, but I love this and other Marlowe soaps I've bought. No fragrances, just a nice clean scent. It also takes a long time.

Update year: This bar is really durable. I use it every day and it's only 30% smaller than new. A bar can last me two years. Ordered for family members. My first purchase of this brand and first charcoal soap and I LOVE it. I usually use shower gel but I love this soap. He's rough, but not rough. It's just very soapy to hold on to and hold on to if that makes sense. Smells good too! If you are on the fence I don't think you will be disappointed!

Good price compared to competing products. (Looks like you get more for your money) I bought this soap to clean my face. If you're a guy like me with thick stubble, you'll love something that scrubs your face through the nape of your neck. And without all the moisturizers!
