Cycling in winter weather.

I like to ride my bike all year round, but last winter it was impossible because of numbness in my thumbs. I've tried various gloves, including liners purchased from REI, all to no avail. I thought it was worth the risk with the groundhog, I used them once on a cold day and found them much better than any that have come before. My fingers/thumbs were comfortable and I was able to cycle 10 miles in these gloves. They were in my shopping cart waiting to pull the trigger for such a large…

Sweaty Hands: Mittens

Moved from the Southern US to the Northern US and wanted to continue cycling. I've been trying to warm my fingers for two years by trying different gloves. This product saved my fingers and my hands get really sweaty in my under 20s when I bike to work in the arctic cold. At temperatures above thirty degrees, these gloves are too warm for sports.

Reynaud-affected, please read!

They are great. I have Raynaud's phenomenon and with an extra pair of lined gloves (sold separately) my hands stay warm most of the time. Obviously the mobility isn't the best but I was looking for a pair of gloves that would keep my hands from going numb and they did the trick. I have tried many gloves including battery operated gloves that cost over $200 and they have not worked. However, remember that there are certain conditions when no glove can prevent the loss of sensation in your…

Bought for dad as a gift

Bought as a gift for dad in Northwest North Dakota. His hands were always cold in winter and he was always complaining about it, so I went online and tried to find the warmest gloves I could find. Every review I've read says they are just as warm or warmer than gloves in the same price range and even gloves many times the price. I have a down winter sleeping bag from the same winter camping company here in Montana, so I know that this company knows how to make warm gear. I bought these based on

Not an expedition glove, just a name.

They're pretty good = Marmot Expedition Mitt+ Roomy, suitable for thin gloves or very thick lining. Will be too roomy for people with thin hands who need a size smaller than usual.+ Rain/snow cover+ Reflective thumb patch– Not for weather well below -10°C– Not for heavy use Recommended if you want to keep light gloves on your hands will warm up to just below zero during normal exercise, they will. If you need something for colder weather, you need Marmot 8000m mittens or a fully synthetic…

Finally warm hands.

It's been a long, cold winter in the Northeast and it's very difficult to warm your hands. These mittens work great. Can take long walks in zero weather without freezing toes. Costs money.

Pros
  • Large selection

  • For old
