As I use a walking stick I needed something like this to keep my head dry. It's impossible to walk with a cane and carry an umbrella when you're already carrying something in your other hand. There is an additional "beak" on the hood that you can remove. It's transparent so you can see through it if you need to. This would come in handy if it's raining on you. I bought two hoods, one for the car and one for my purse so I always have one with me if it unexpectedly starts raining.

Nice size that covers hair. The only objection I have to this raincoat is that it doesn't come with a container to put it in. I always had a rain hat that came in its own little case. I've spent hours looking for original bags but they don't seem to be made anymore. I replaced it with this raincoat but it's cumbersome to put in my purse. Once you fold it down to the bare essentials, there's nothing else to put inside. I need to find a plastic bag that fits my raincoat and is small enough to fit
