The price is great, but there are precautions when using

First, the price is great. This is the best price I've come across for silicone of this quality and quantity. However, as I have read in other reviews, this can lead to poor curing in some cases. I duplicated the resin covered with a gray primer and it didn't harden. To be honest, this is the first time I've seen silicone that doesn't cure with putty (but I don't know the real reason). It seems that silicone can do this depending on the composition of the surface. original form. As a solutionโ€ฆ

It flows like a faucet but the cured molds are intact

Unfortunately it leaks a bit. It is very fluid, which is great for encapsulating parts in castings. However, if you don't have a waterproof seal, the silicone will leak out from under your case. It can also seep under your templates and make them float while curing, meaning you don't have to waste time, money, or silicone. If you're using acrylic blanks with the shells attached you should be fine, although I've had silicone leaks between the seams of the acrylic layers. Waiting an hour for itโ€ฆ

I haven't been this angry in a long time.

This was my first time working with this material in the interest of full disclosure, but I spent a great deal of time researching and watching videos and product reviews before taking the plunge. said 4 pounds of this stuff is a ridiculously small amount. Because it's incredibly heavy (beware of beginners, nobody talks about that in DIY guides), you'll end up with an overall size that's roughly the size of a softball. Please believe me when I tell you this is NOT coming at all. As I writeโ€ฆ

Seems to be a great product!

I love this colour. And the viscosity is easy to work with. I've made several molds and all have failed, but I don't think the silicone is to blame. Pretty sure, anyway, because I think the items I was molding for were made out of a material that reacted with the silicone and stopped it from hardening properly. I was trying to make molds for 3D printed objects on a resin printer. I think 3D UV resin cannot be used to make molds. I bought a 3D printer for this. So I'm a bit frustrated but Iโ€ฆ
