Can't compare to other matcha bowls as this is my first. I find it's a bit pricey for what it is. I should have looked at the local Japanese market before buying. Does the trick but I have a feeling any bowl would do.

Bought this bowl and bamboo matcha tea set. This is a very good product for the price. I'm new to Matcha and didn't want to spend a lot of money, especially since my first tea purchase was disappointing. I was researching matcha bowl sizes and what to look for and this one seemed to fit the bill. It's big enough to whip tea and create foam with a bamboo whisk (ie if you buy a good matcha - I bought organic tea which was really culinary and it was like drinking grass mixed with earth and not foam). This is my personal opinion. My bowl arrived safe and sound with soft foam pads on the top and bottom of the bowl in the box keeping it secure in the cardboard box so it wouldn't break from the bumps. It's almost like a package that you can use to ship an egg, for example. When I opened the box, the teacup was in perfect condition with no imperfections, chips, cracks or anything else. I think this teacup was absolutely worth the price. It has an eye-catching shape - I would even say cute - that
