Universal clamping system

Despite the rather high price, these dovetail clamps are excellent. I don't know what I would do without her. I machined dovetail slots in carriages and jigs throughout the workshop.

Pros
  • Power tools and hand tools
Cons
  • Working speed

Greatness comes at a price

These are my favorite tools. I have a MatchFit workbench that I built along with various attachments. Clamps are very versatile and help with almost every project I make. The downside is they cost about the same as a 40 inch parallel clamp.

Pros
  • Hand Tools
Cons
  • Zero

Working with the dovetail system

Expensive. A spring prevents the moving part from sliding down when you position the clamp on the workpiece. But then it becomes harder to move the clamp if you want to. Compromise. I made a dovetail workbench based on the MicroJig blueprints. I love it. The brackets work well with it.

Pros
  • Tools and household goods
Cons
  • I don't know anymore

Just Works!: Hand Tools

Another great addition to the MicroJig collection. The Matchfit dovetail clamp AP is ideal for clamping corners, dowels, irregular shapes in general and just smooth materials! Highly recommended if you want to take your clamp to the next level, love cool stuff or are interested in working smarter instead of harder. I have several and use them regularly.

Pros
  • Dynamic X-Pad accessory provides 2-in-1 clamping and linear clamping force
Cons
  • Easily Torn
