We were able to vacuum a 5" memory foam mattress to 2" thick and then roll it up with this bag. Our shop vacuum did a good job and it took about 7-8 minutes in total.

Pile size listed as Twin, Twin XL but don't be fooled. This bag will NOT fit a Twin XL foam mattress. The bag is also made of very thin plastic, which is sturdy and breaks easily. It won't hold a vacuum no matter how many times you try. Definitely don't waste your money.

I used this product to compress my double XL camping foam mattress. It works, but the pressure isn't the greatest. A foam mattress takes time to compress with a standard vacuum. After a while, air will seep in and start inflating the mattress, but velcro straps help. It does the work for camping. I haven't found any other alternative.

Bought this to pack a big inflatable water toy (one of those big floats). This worked great to get the air out of the toy and then the straps held it in place. This bag is not sealed. It released the vacuum but it shrinks what you pack and the straps hold it that way and the plastic protects it.

The secret lies in wrapping Serán like at the airport. We blew it off and used the straps but after a few minutes we heard air escaping. I blew it out again and wrapped it in plastic wrap top to bottom and both ends, then applied canvas ties and after a few days it was still not leaking. Obviously best for long term storage and it didn't take a lot of plastic wrap, time or effort to get it working.

Works great. I recently moved and have nowhere to put my stuff. I've used different sized bags for shrinking towels, pillows, clothes, etc. I had 2 twin mattresses and 1 queen mattress. I've used bags to store each of them as they shrink in these bags that fit under beds for perfect storage. Now I can move them to another house in the future without any rush. They are good for travel as my stuff fits better in my suitcase. I highly recommend these bags.

Bought because of good reviews. I have to say I am very disappointed with this product. Maybe I received one with a broken zipper. I sealed my little memory foam mattress, but when I returned to the room an hour later, it looked the same as it did before the vacuum. It went through the zip on the package at least 3 times before I sealed it. Just as normal as a normal plastic cap. Seal and roll just doesn't work. I would not recommend this item.
