After looking at many different sunnies I had previously like Oakley and Costa del Mar I settled on the Maui Jim Barrier Reef. These are probably the best sunglasses I've ever had, they fit perfectly, are light and very comfortable to wear and they also look great. I like the two tone color scheme. Similar to the pair I bought in Hawaii. I wish Revain would allow lens selection like the Maui Jim website does, but they weren't in that style. This is great, but I was hoping to get Lava Lenses in this AND another two tone style!

I have had many Maui Jims in the past but these were not as pictured. They were also ugly, too heavy and not even the color pictured, which was black. They were white on the bottom half of the rim.

Bought because they are said to be more scratch resistant than other glasses. I had a pair of Maui Jims for 10 years and they lasted a while until I sent them in for repairs. Replacement lenses scratch too easily. Bought this pair because they claimed they were more scratch resistant. It is not true. The coating on the lens gets scratched and it loses that coating. I bought blue and the shade is a little lighter than the other shades. They are great for driving and allow me to ride longer at dusk and in low light. I loved them. I have a pair of MJ Makahas with neutral gray lenses that I have worn for many years, but I wanted something more durable and with more eye protection. These wrap-style barrier reefs looked like they fit the bill. They are the size I was looking for, comfortable on my face and very well made.
