Description of MAX-PAC

Concepts NREC’s MAX-PAC family of CAM software provides optimal cutter-path solutions for turbomachinery components by offering users several cutting strategies that can reduce engineering costs as well as production costs. MAX-PAC is available in any combination of modules to suit part geometry requirements for flank milling of ruled-surface blading, point milling of arbitrary-surface blading, point milling of integrally shrouded impellers, or milling of single blades.

A must-have software for increasing production output

We have used maxpac with our CNC machine which has helped us achieve better productivity levels than what we were able to do manually before using this product. The user interface was easy enough even though it's not very intuitive but once you get familiarized you will be fine! Not much I disliked about MaxPac so far - maybe some minor glitches here n there sometimes when running multiple jobs at same time. Overall good experience working with them. Best way to improve your shop floor…

Pros
  • Also provides information regarding job scheduling/progress alongwith error log & tracking report if needed !!! Easy integration , cost effective

Solid CAM software that covers many areas of manufacturing

The program allows you not only model parts but also creates tool paths with 3D shapes which are very useful when creating tools from CAD models (or even scanning). Also has great support features such as NC data import/export etc., so this would be considered an all around solid package if your looking into machining multiple geometries at once. I wish it was more user friendly especially since they seem like they're pushing towards newer technologies - however there seems little effort put…

Pros
  • Being able to create complex geometry for milling, boring & turning operations is fantastic along side various post processing options available within software itself that can help smooth edges without manual intervention; plus ability to do multi part modeling simultaneously through same interface makes things easy enough
Cons
  • It is hard to say
