I ordered a size 10 in Blue Hawaii. The color matched the picture perfectly. The fit is a size 10. They are a size 15.25 in diameter but have a wide elastic band at the very back allowing you to add an additional 4-5 inches to your waist in the back when stretched. The inner panties are a little thin, but not bad. The upper is soft and slightly reminiscent of microfiber. The inseam is exactly 4 inches. I have never had a pool of this style/brand - in fact I still use the first one I ever bought which was over 10 years ago. The color of the first pair has faded a bit, but if the fading is the only change in the product after swimming in chlorine or salt water under the scorching sun for more than 10 years, then it is a product of good quality and nutritional value. They did what I needed - good coverage but not too "sloppy". I especially recommend them to women like me with high waists as they sit closer to the true waist than the hips, which is more common these days and just doesn't flatter me! I'm 5ft 5in, about 142, and a size 12 fits me because I prefer a roomy foot. I usually wear a size 10 or 12. The color is pretty accurate. The shorts are very cute, well made and a size 12 fits well (as expected). Although I haven't worn them swimming yet I don't expect the button or zipper to rust as I suspect they are aluminum.
