I've been using this product for about 5 years now and haven't had any major problems with it. I have very thin, barely noticeable eyebrows, so I have to color them every time I leave the house, and one pencil lasts about four months with almost daily use. It's soft so you have to be careful not to press too hard and use soft strokes or you'll end up with uneven coverage. It stays with sweating and swimming! Interesting "Maybelline Total Temptation" has received higher and lower ratings from reviewers for this product. However, I prefer this product as Total Temptations didn't work for me. I use eyebrow pencils and find that precision helps. I just want it to last longer. It is soft, so using a sharpener is recommended. The sharpeners I use eat my pencil.

The color is not dark red, rather dark brown. It's not a hard stick, it's creamy so it seems to melt even when it's cold and needs to be applied very gently so you don't absorb too much. It almost looks like a liquid, although it isn't. Because of this, I have to sharpen it after almost every use. The color is less impressive and probably won't last long. I really want Maybelline Expert Eyes to bring back Auburn. This pencil/color is not as expected.

I was trying to find a brow product that would give the brows a more natural look than the "puckered" brows that many wear today. I use it every day for work, I don't like wearing heavy brows during the work week. I would suggest using a lighter hand to achieve that natural look, a heavy hand looks artificial like using eyeliner to darken your brows. I mainly use it to fill in my brows and mix it with ABH Clear Brow Gel to keep my brows in place. I would recommend this if you like more natural,
