I have been using this brand for many years and when my previous brow pencil ran out I decided to buy this one as I was expecting the same brand consistency. lots of product for small applications and needs lots of re-sharpening. My previous brow pencil lasted me a long time, didn't "smudge" and faded as quickly and easily as this one.

Interesting "Maybelline Total Temptation" received higher ratings from reviewers and lower ratings for this product. However, I prefer this product as Total Temptations didn't work for me. I use eyebrow pencils and find that precision helps. I just want it to last longer. It is soft, so using a sharpener is recommended. The sharpeners I use eat my pencil.

First of all, this pencil is too soft for eyebrows. Most importantly - I would NOT classify this color as a maroon. I don't know what I would call it, but NOT reddish brown. Too bad Maybelline discontinued the BEST maroon pencil on the market when they stopped selling a WOOD pencil that required a sharpener. I think redheads and brown haired girls don't count as buyers.

I don't use cosmetics, I just never used cosmetics, lip balm and lotion are my choices. However, I love doing my eyebrows and this is the BEST pencil out there. I've tried so many and they don't mix properly. There is something about this pencil that makes your eyebrows look more natural.
