I bought this and a $200 Nathan hydration pack for my parents. They actually like this one better. They particularly like the magnet that holds the mouthpiece to the strap.

Listen! I have several moisture packs. This is one of the good ones. The bite system is good. There is an on/off function. The packaging itself is well designed. The color is pleasant. The price is great. The shoulder straps are very comfortable. Would have liked a larger selection of colors. Overall good value for money and you get a good package.

I was very happy with it at first but I left it lying flat in my car in my garage and got in the car soaked and water dripped through the pan onto my garage. Floor. I've had this for about a week and have not abused or treated my bladder or backpack. Huge mess and I can't use it unless I'm very careful to keep it upright, which shouldn't be necessary.

Well, this is the first product that broke in the first 10 minutes of use. The locking lever is so poorly designed that it broke on the first use (and I bought 2) and now no longer seals the bag and the liquid spills when I put the bag on a flat surface. I guess the company never used their product :( It's petty that they spend so much time on pictures and a good description but they never used their own product.

I have used it several times since receiving it and my overall opinion is very positive. I like that the tube easily detaches from the pouch which makes filling easier. The top of the bag opening is large enough for quick and easy filling. I love that the bite valve feature offers great flow and can be turned off to prevent leakage. I rarely write reviews but I am so impressed with the Mazama Tumalo Hydration Pack that I will do just that. 3 liter drinking bottle. I was also looking for a hydration pack with compartments in the front so I can store my refill gels instead of keeping them in my pockets, which was annoying.
