It's strong when used in the smaller size, but when fully extended I have a feeling it might break. If the drawer isn't completely closed, you're probably also lifting the bar along with the towel. It slides out of the drawer very easily. The main problem I have is that it doesn't keep the same width as I put it on for the towel. I bought this to hang a towel on the door under the sink. We already have a towel hanging on the door, but I wanted something classier. It did not work. It says it's adjustable, which tells me that you can adjust it to your liking and then possibly "lock" it (you don't want it to move, do you?). It didn't jam, so it moved when attached.
