Holds 2.5 " hard drive

I ended up buying three of these units for my Mediasonic 4-bay external hard drive. I wish they were a few bucks cheaper or came with the fancy expensive Mediasonic I bought, but what can you do? They did their job and fit well.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Appearance

Accessory for hard drives with HD tray

Works as advertised. Very expensive for a bent and painted piece of tin metal. Now you can get a board full of electronics and metal plating for $2 more. At 7.99 each you should be able to get 2-3 for that price.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Keep Quiet

Shipping damage

This item should fit in the HV7 multi-way actuator cabinet. However, it broke during shipping. After a long time I was able to shape it with pliers to fit.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Problem

Great Probox to SSD adapter

I have a 4-bay Mediasonic Probox HF2-SU3S2; inexpensive, compact, fast (non-RAID) external storage. It was full of hard drives but when I upgrade my server I have extra SSDs. This bracket adapts the SSD for use in the Probox. The Mediasonic HDB-G1 2.5" to 3.5" adapter plate was used to mount the SSD in the Probox. The bracket also allows for proper installation of the rotating eject button, just like a hard drive. Probox can now accommodate 3.5" HDDs or 2.5" SSDs.

Pros
  • Handy
Cons
  • Functionality

Fits Mediasonic 4 bay cabinet

Bought for my new Mediasonic 4 bay HF2-SU31C cabinet. Crucially for this case, the SATA ports are on the bottom right, just like a 3.5-inch hard drive. Normal 2.5" conversion mounts may not be centered on the disc. For normal case mounting with cables hanging freely this is not a problem and any other design will work just as well as this. They also have screw holes properly positioned to attach the included locker handle for easy removal.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
