👗 Cinderella Magnetic Dress Up Set by Melissa & Doug Review

We love Melissa and Doug's products so it's no wonder these magnetic paper dolls are beautifully designed. I bought two sets so each granddaughter would have her own. They played with it for hours. Now all you have to do is design them for the Disney prince and you're done!

My 4 year old granddaughter loves wooden doll sets with magnets. Have bought her several sets over the last 2 years. She loves Disney princesses. The sets are well made and the outfits are adorable. You and I make up doll stories, throw parties and swap clothes. All princesses are very generous and love to share. They are way better than the paper dolls I had as a kid lol.

We all have Disney versions of this toy and my daughter loves them. We even added velcro to the back and attached it to the fridge as a toy while I cook. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that it comes in SEVERAL small pieces and a mess when I cook. I'm honest. Also frustrating is that unlike many Melissa & Doug products, it doesn't have a top rail to keep all the pieces in the tray. That's why I find Cinderella magnets always and everywhere.

I was quite skeptical about buying this for my 2 year old daughter because of the small parts. But she's doing great with it and absolutely loves it. Every day she asks to play her Cinderella puzzle. And we love dressing her up as Cinderella in the movie. This allows her to pay attention to detail while also being willing to ask her questions like "Is Cinderella wearing her blue skirt or her pink skirt?" This was a great addition to our puzzle collection.

Great work and there are many details that I was pleasantly surprised by. As with most magnet attracting kits, you cannot use layered items. The only thing the pieces stick to is the doll board itself. I'm always embarrassed, but that's to be expected. My only real bummer is the lack of a "shaggy" outfit (where the pink dress is torn). This is my baby's favorite part about going from rags to a ball gown! But what you have is great so I'm not deducting a star.

Good idea, but the Cinderella version isn't very good. The actual shape of Cinderella's cleavage doesn't have nearly enough background. You can not put accessories like roses, mice, etc. because there is no space for them. There are also magnetic glass slippers, but none of the princess dresses show Cinderella's feet, so you can't even use them. As a result, you will be left with a few dresses and hats, as well as a lot of useless leftovers.

I bought this for my 4 year old autistic daughter who recently became a Cinderella fan. She has similar puzzles and magnetic dolls and this one was the clear winner. As is often the case with Melissa and Doug toys, the biggest issue is storage. Some parts need to be put back into a very specific orientation, which requires a few extra steps for cleaning. My biggest gripe is that there's no lid or anything to keep the pieces from falling out, but again that's pretty typical for this type of toy.
