Brexit soundtrack

Troubled Britain soundtrack. Facebook, Google and social media have unleashed the stupidity of the masses. The music and lyrics on this CD seem like a fitting soundtrack to the greatest catastrophe to hit the UK since the dawn of Thatcher's neoliberalism. Part fairground, part specials and all Albarn, this is my best of 2018.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Really spot on

OMG! I've been craving more GB&Q and here it is! I want Damon to keep going like this forever and never give up. The last album was amazing, I can't stop listening to it and this one is just like that! Wonderful! Tone, tempo, texture, melody, oh melody! It's really just right for me. I could listen to those albums and I don't need anything else. But surely Damon is just pumping them out, right? Big! More for me!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Hard to say

Better than the first album? I don't think so

I was very disappointed with this (once listened and gifted to a friend). I really like everything Damon Albarn does, but it's a far cry from the greatness that was on the first album. A lot of his recent work comes across as too eccentric/artsy. dreamy murmur. Background music/mood for those who like to mope. It lacks uniqueness and soul. even the rejection of the first album. You used to be able to feel the character of the staff while it just seems flat. boring.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
