Description of Authentic Mexican Handmade Rebozo Shawl

Imported. Hand Wash Only. Authentic and beautiful rebozo weaved on backstrap looms by artisans in Tlaxcala, Mexico. Made of cotton and acrylic fiber. Warm and soft. Versatile garment, usually folded or wrapped around the head or upper body to shade from the sun, provide warmth and as an accessory to an outfit. Additionally it can be used as blanket, bed throw, yoga mat, tablecloth, etc, adding fantastic color to any room. Used by Mexican midwives or doulas during labor and then used by mothers to carry their babies. Please notice the quality of the fringe, you won't find it in other rebozos. Nice design with brightly colored patterns as in the pics, however slight variations in hue and pattern may occur. Size: 8 x 2.5 feet / 96” x 30” (each fringe is 9”) / 244 x 76 cms (each fringe is 23 cms).

Beautiful and well made

Gorgeous Rebozo! I bought it for a home birth but plans changed and I couldn't use it. It is very long and durable and can be used as a clothing accessory or a birthday accessory.

Beautiful, worth it

So cool! I bought this for pregnancy and used as a runner for my kitchen table instead. Very high quality, simply beautiful. I often get compliments on that. I would buy more in other colors if needed, it's really nice. Will be a great gift.

Really good but strange smell and texture on arrival.

I really like this rebozo and I plan to work and use delivery . There was a terrible chemical smell on arrival but after washing it was gone. I also had the feeling of gritty plastic fiber, but I put it in the dryer with a dryer sheet and it went away. Overall I'm very happy with the quality of the Rebozo, it feels (and smells) good after washing and I love the color!

The colors are dull for one person, the fabric is not of very good quality

I ordered purple and personally it was much darker. The golden color is more reminiscent of a dusty beige. Purple is also cooler than warm purple like in the picture. I agree with another reviewer that you can feel and hear the plastic nature of the non-cotton fibers when you touch the fabric. I just don't feel like it gives me the joy and satisfaction I expected for $40 so I'm going back.
