Microsoft 8L3 00001 Modern Webcam Review

Really surprised how bad this camera is! I love Microsoft products and this one was a flop. My old 5 year old Logitech 720p (c525) webcam outperforms this one even when used in commands. The image quality is poor, HDR and 1080p are not self-evident and seem to exist only as descriptions. Save money, this webcam will only disappoint you.

This is a terrible camera. It's amazing that Microsoft has developed such a poor quality webcam. The resolution is abysmal, the autofocus takes a long time and there is no built-in microphone. The Logitech C922 webcam that we have now offers much better performance, better resolution, faster autofocus, built-in microphone and is cheaper.

Expected more from the official Microsoft webcam. I like Windows Hello and the best camera. Well it isn't. Beyond expectations, the Zoom video is sharp. This is ideal for low-light situations. I just wish it was sharper with more pixels. 1080p but I wouldn't say it's true HD. But definitely a little better than other standard 1080p webcams. Eh! Only if we could buy a used Pixel 3A and rip out its camera to use as a webcam.
