Works perfectly! - Portable audio and video

Installed on the access panel in Turbo Rzr. A very good addition to our waterproof 2-way microphone as it was difficult to hear initially due to engine and wind noise.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Almost never

The best speaker for my radio amateur!

This is the clearest and most intelligible speaker I've tried. My hearing isn't what it used to be and sometimes I have trouble understanding speech. I have tried 3 other speakers for my ham radio and this one turned out to be the best of them all. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Very good build quality and very good audio connectivity.

I brought my Motorola portable speaker into my car and needed another speaker for my two meter system at my house. This speaker is very well built and most importantly the audio is excellent for communication. Much cheaper than a Motorola speaker and the build quality and sound quality are just as good.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • So-so

In the 1970's I had a Bearcat scanner and a Midland Eternal speaker. This speaker is identical to my old one in every way. Hooked up to my other scanner, this Midland @ 20 watts is crystal clear when turned on loud. No distortion and build quality like the old models! Bought a second one to keep.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Outstanding sound clarity.

I bought a Midland 21-406 speaker to improve the clarity of my Yaesu FT-60R HT. I am very impressed with the clarity of the sound coming out of the speaker. This greatly improved the readability of all stations. I put the speaker with the bracket on a shelf as a stand without mounting it firmly. The speaker can be mounted under the dashboard or on a shelf using the bracket and screws provided.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Updates

Well done. Good sound

Very happy with the purchase. Really well made, good sounding speaker for mobile communication applications. I connected this speaker to an HF ham radio setup in my mobile phone and the sound is crisp and clear. The speaker enclosure is made of thick, durable plastic with an adjustable bracket that easily attaches and unlocks with handles. It's not an amplified speaker, but it gets loud enough when my radio hears it. Really great value for money and worth more than what I paid for it

Ratings are incorrect

Bought this new here at Revain. I read the rave reviews and thought I wasn't wrong as this is such a well known brand as Midland. I figured it would give me more volume to hear police and firefighter calls than my handheld police scanner's built-in mono speaker. The volume was actually LESS than the built-in speaker. I couldn't believe it. Even with my device set to maximum volume, I turned it off and started listening through the built-in speaker again. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some errors

I bought two of these speakers because I believed the description on the Revain website. It was an expensive mistake! The 21-406 Midland CB/Amateur/Marine speakers were advertised as clear sounding speakers. Exactly the opposite is the case! The speech sound they reproduce is distorted and muffled! They should be able to communicate, and speech intelligibility is what they do best. Not so with these. They should be 8 ohm speakers. You are not! These are 4 ohm speakers. The speaker's plastic…

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
