Long enough for accessories and consumables

This was the third antenna cable I've ordered and finally found it long enough, 6 metres. I have to run it from the back of my Jeep Wrangler to the top rack where my radio is attached. All the others I found were too short. SWR is ok

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • New competition arrived

Broke on first use

Installed this and then installed the antenna. When I wanted to exchange the antenna for another, the threaded part immediately came loose and remained in the antenna. It's poorly built, don't buy if you want to turn the antenna on and off.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Really very good on antennas

It comes with prices all screwed together. It took me a second to figure out how to screw the base onto the Midland MXTA23 mounting bracket. I got that. I would highly recommend the mount, it's rock solid. Drilled a few holes in my van's roof rack and voila! Took 1/2 hour.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Almost never

Midland is a FUCK! - Audio and video accessories

The first one was broken. Midland immediately sent a new one at no extra cost. TO UPDATE! The second one is also broken. I will never shop in the Midland again. Chinese made junk is what they sell. Don't want to receive junk? Then don't shop in the Midland. I'm also sending back all three radios I just bought from them. chance

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Updates

The cable is detachable for easy installation.

This worked great. I have a brand new AU F150 so it's not magnetic on the outside. Installed it on the passenger side air intake grille and ran the duct under the armrest where I placed the CB. It was great to install a high gain antenna and close the lid when the CB is not in use. Thanks to the cover, I can drive through a car wash and not have to worry about the antenna tearing off.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some problems

Mandatory for Midland - MXTA26 with 6dB Gain

I bought this along with Midland - MXTA26 with 6dB Gain and my Midland MXT275 MicroMobile 15W GMRS radio. The Midland radio comes with a small antenna but I wanted to upgrade it for better reception and potential range. The NMO cable is easy to connect to the antenna and is enough to connect an antenna installed almost anywhere in your car. The reception is now crystal clear with my setup.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Great cable, works great with MXTA23 adapter

I ordered this cable after having trouble finding an NMO connector or a cable with an NMO connector that matched the thickness of the MXTA23 fits. I saw this cable attached to a bracket along the length of the Midland radio so I figured it would work and it did. It also has a nice detachable PL259 adapter on the end that makes it a lot easier to relocate. The price of this cable is decent and I can't fault the performance. I should have just ordered this cable so I knew I was getting the MXTA23

Pros
  • FME-UHF adapter included
Cons
  • No automatic

Suitable for "Midland Universal Arm/NMO Mirror Antenna Mount "

The main reason I'm posting this article is to help other people using a Midland arm/mount Bought for a reflector antenna from Revain. I tried 3 other cables before biting the bullet and spending about $5 more on this cable. None of them fit this mount except this one. So far it looks good and solid. I was able to run this from the top of my 3rd gen Tacoma double cab (aligned with the center of the back door), down the back of the cab, under the truck, into the engine compartment, through the…

Pros
  • Large diameter cable - RG58U
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen
