The palm material is similar to suede but does not become hard when the glove gets wet. The best thing about these gloves is that burrs and pods hardly stick to the material. I'll be working outside and all sorts of things will stick to my pant legs and I'll have to take them off one at a time, but a quick touch of the gloves and almost everything falls off at once.
