Minka-Aire RCS213 Hand-Held Remote Control System: Convenient and Responsive Control for Your Ceiling Fan Review

Installed Minka-Aire F845 and wanted a second remote. Couldn't find the dl-4111g-01 model that came with the fan so I took a chance this remote would work. Bingo! Works perfectly! Just make sure the jumpers in the battery box are set to the same configuration as your original remote. Very satisfied!

Well I have followed the instructions and so far it is not working with my Minka Aire. I didn't find that it finds the DIP switch settings itself and I'll try to find them in the fan hub before going back. This was a bit annoying as we were buying a house and the remote controls were not left behind.

I think this remote dimmer is an absolute must for Minka Aire lighted ceiling fans! Given the high price Minka Aire fans/lights require, it would have been preferable to have the remote included with the fan/light rather than requiring an additional purchase, hence the deduction of a star!

Works when used as intended. The lamp intensity control is a bit finicky, but I'm used to it. the one that came with the fan and lamp. Since this is a necessary accessory if you don't want to lose control of the fan if you break or lose the one that comes with it (according to my electrician, there's no easy way to control this fan via a wired switch), DONE. YOU SHOULD HAVE SEVERAL SO AFTER 3 BUY ANOTHER FAN IN THE CONTROLLERS. Otherwise great.

If you have an old Minka Aire ceiling fan, I recommend calling Minka Group customer service to find out which receiver, wall control and handheld remote are compatible with your fan (and whether it is necessary to replace not only the wall control but also the receiver). For my 17 year old fans it's the WCS213 wall switch, RCS213 remote and P001022100S receiver (described as Minka Lavery Minka Aire P001022100S Up & Down Light along with a picture of nuts and bolts) that I can't seem to find now
