🚘 Mishimoto MMRT-F2D-03BK Aluminum Degas Reservoir Tank: Ford 6.0 Powerstroke 2003-2007 Black - Compatible & Efficient Review

This is a great replacement for my 2003 Ford F350 6.0 liter engine. Why would any manufacturer put a plastic bottle on a vehicle to store very hot liquids, I don't understand! I would buy this again!

Looks great, quality and finish looks great. The OEM degas cap will not close properly and antifreeze will leak out. I just ordered a Mishimoto degassing cap, I hope it is airtight. For what you pay for the upgraded degas tank, it should come with a Mishimoto degas cap.

excellent quality and workmanship. I give 3 stars for lack of quality control. The sight's threaded nipples had to be tightened. There was a puddle of coolant under the car and they couldn't find a leak for a long time. Therefore, tighten each threaded part before installation.

No questions asked about a leak, if they do they come with a "LIFETIME WARRANTY" why not lifetime replace anytime. Easy setup, fill and RUN! have fun !

My original degas bottle had a few small cracks and coolant was slowly leaking to some extent. This is eliminated by leakage and is a significant quality improvement over a plastic bottle. If you're planning on leaving your truck for a while I highly recommend spending the extra money on this quality bottle. Double check the connections on the sight glass, mine was leaking until I tightened it.

If you plan to keep it your trucks for a while, I highly recommend spending the extra money on this quality bottle. Check the fittings on the sight glass, mine was leaking until I tightened them.

I bought this to replace an OEM Ford that had been on the truck for over 10 years and 200,000 miles. I didn't want to fail again and Mishimoto looked good and well built. The sight tube was leaking a little, and I didn't notice until I saw a build up of antifreeze on the underside of the steering shaft. When I parked the truck, I sometimes smelled of antifreeze. I tried tightening the sight tube nuts but it didn't help. I contacted Mishimoto about the warranty and they let me put teflon tape on
