Good concept, bad execution

wanted to like VERY much! I quilt and make my own binding strips and was hoping this would speed up binding, but not at all. I tried using a large tape machine and after a lot of effort I managed to work with the thinnest material I had. However, the presser foot that came in the box didn't hold the offset in place when I sewed on the trim. In the end I cut the bias tape and sewed it on with a step foot. I tried some thicker material and it got stuck on one side of the tape drive. The sidesโ€ฆ

Sew the string to the end of the fabric strip to make it easier to start.

I finally had the chance to try it last night. So the downside is that there are no instructions, the upside is that it works. Basically, you don't want your strip of fabric to be wider than the width of the base plus the height of the side of the shape. Threading the strip into the form can be tricky, so I took a needle and thread and simply tied a small piece of string to the end of each strip of fabric, attached the needle and thread to the strip of fabric, and lowered the needle through the

Bias binding easy

I've been making bias tape for mask straps for the last few months and was pleased to learn that there are bias tape manufacturers. Of course I'm sure most people probably already know this, but I don't have much experience and the mask making video I watched links to another video showing the old fashioned way of making diagonal tape. After taking a hiatus from mask making due to a family crisis, I decided to watch a tutorial video and this man happened to have a bias tape maker. O happinessโ€ฆ

Lift the back of the bias binding, feed the strip of fabric into the wide opening, and use the awl to pull the strip of fabric out of the head of the bias binding. 3. Let the positioning pin fix the stretched fabric strip on the brewing plate. As you pull on the bias tape, allow the iron to get close to the head of the diagonal tape, which allows the stretched strip of fabric to be shaped instantly.
