Despite the reviews I decided to give it a try as the shipping is fast compared to ebay. This device makes a loud buzzing sound when the PS2 turns on and causes static horizontal lines to run across the screen along with a static hiss coming out of my TV speakers. I went to ebay and bought an original PS2 power supply for less and all those problems were gone. Don't waste money.

As many people have mentioned, there is some flicker and a lot of static electricity. But I was able to stop it just by hanging the adapter on the back of my desk. There's still some noise in there, but it's barely noticeable. Upate: My old LCD TV ratted me out and I got a new TV. I tried to connect the TV and the interference became clearer and now I have the feeling that the buyer wants this product. I will take care of an official power supply. .
