Adhesive is not foam like the adhesive that originally comes. At first I thought they removed it, but I looked closer and saw it was there. It also came with a bezel, which was a pleasant surprise for me since it's not in the photo. Good value for money but I could use 3m sticky foam to soften it up.

This screen is successful. The screen itself works fine, but the home button ribbon cable has failed on one of the two screens I installed. If it works the screen is great, if not you'll need to reassemble and remove the home button flex cable from the old screen. So be careful when removing the old screen so you don't tear or cut it.

I just signed up to order another one in two years because the kids cracked the old iPad again. I was happy to see that the item was still available on my old orders and placed the order again. Now it's a long-term review! The last time this kit was used, the device's WiFi reception dropped a bit, but I must have connected the small antenna that comes with the kit incorrectly. I expect this second install will be very quick as the screen has never been bonded as tightly as the OEM.

The product arrived as advertised and the tools provided were acceptable for the task at hand, but after installation I immediately started having trouble pressing the phantom home button and also noticed that some partitions on the Screen not responding. This was my very first attempt at replacing the iPad screen. My daughter's screen broke and we couldn't swipe to unlock it. I attached the screen with tape and used a hair dryer to get to the edge of the screen as instructed. The screen still cracked, but the tape helped. Once I got everything ready, installing the tape was a chore. Fat thumbs and fat fingers are difficult when inserting cables, but manageable.
