Great Style: Bathroom Hardware

Moen toilet roll holders like this one are my favorites. It looks like a regular style but all you have to do is just lift it up and it will open up to add the next roll. It has a great modern style with flat black to match the latest plumbing fixtures. It also has matching towel rails, hooks etc.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Price

Fulfills its purpose

Looks good but of course the material feels a bit cheap compared to other more expensive brands. You get what you pay for. We have to try to adjust it because it didn't close tightly and every time you touch the towel the two ends of the metal bar hit each other. In any case, it serves its purpose.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • It's OK

The Genta line is great

I bought this towel rail along with a toilet roll holder and a faucet. They are very attractive and look great in my half bath. Maybe my contractor made a mistake installing the two posts as the crossbar will dangle a bit between them, but that doesn't really matter. It's going nowhere, and the towel completely masks the bug. I am very happy with the line.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • So far so good

why isn't it just one thing?

Based on the photo I assumed it was a solid piece of metal with a few decorative grooves, but the grooves are actually seams where different pieces of metal come together. I didn't actually install it thinking the parts would clump together and feel cheap, I returned it and bought something else. Why would they make it out of multiple pieces when it's a simple towel rail? It must be cheaper that way.

Cheaply made on towel rings

This review compares this product to Moen's towel rails. We bought towel warmers, grab bars and toilet paper rolls from Moen Genta for a new bathroom remodeling shop to match the faucets and we couldn't be more disappointed. We purchased Moen Method wands for our guest bathroom and really like them - they are strong, smooth and well made. Genta bars, on the other hand, are lightweight, difficult to install and much smaller than the Method line. It took several attempts to secure the bars. If…

Good, but I had to modify it

This towel warmer disappointed me the most. We had a Genta faucet as well as hooks and a toilet roll holder. The way I made this acceptable was to apply a small dab of Gorilla Glue to the inside of the bindings before attaching the bar. This made them more stable. If I hadn't done this, metal on metal would clatter every time someone touched a towel in the bar. This was only acceptable to me because apart from the towel rail we only used towel hooks. It doesn't seem like a very substantial or…

Make sure you place the holes and the correct spacing

I only gave it four stars because the instructions that came with it are the same as the toilet roll holder or towel rail so I accidentally used a template for a toilet roll holder and now i have to patch those holes it goes really well with the same faucet trim unfortunately most towels have to be folded more than once to fit on that narrow strip of about 6 inches yes i was stupid to a woman to think and a 15 minute job turned into a pain in the ass with 3 coats of putty, primer and paint and…
