First, the needles are not part of these straps; They go separately in a small bag. Second, the pin on one of the straps kept popping out. Just to make sure it wasn't the Fitbit itself or the strap, I tried the included strap and it didn't pop out. I returned it.

Installed according to the instructions and although it seemed to me a little flimsy I needed a simple leather strap. Unfortunately, after 5 weeks of use, the whole group broke up. Of course, it broke right after closing the return window. Treat it with care, it's a flimsy strap and I suspect it won't last long for most users.

The tape looked good but there were no connecting pins. When I tried to insert the connector pins from my original Aria, they didn't fit the new strap. The cylinder was too small in diameter and/or too long. One of the pins broke off. I didn't keep the packaging so I can't return it. I bought another brand of tape at the same time. Luckily it had contacts and connected easily. If you don't have replacement pens, don't order them.
