Color fades after a short time

I bought a 1.5 inch VGA cable a little over a month ago (it's now outside the return window) and have used it maybe a dozen times or more. Now, if the cable is in the wrong position, the color on my screen will not show up correctly. After slightly moving the cable to a new location, the color will only be corrected to return there again. The cable broke after not very long use. I double checked that it's not my display or output device causing the problem with a different VGA cable and it…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Nothing

Worked fine for me.

It worked for me. I have no doubt others have had problems, but my cable was fine. I use it to connect an old PC to a big screen TV with VGA input. The quality is ok and I appreciate the cable. That makes it much more portable and convenient for me. I'm pretty sure pulling on the cord instead of the plug will damage the cord, so I don't do it. Short version? I wouldn't recommend using it for educational or commercial purposes where people will find it difficult, but for travel or portable use…

Pros
  • Not cheap, but decent
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

You get what you pay for.

I think you get what you pay for. They're cheap, really cheap, not just the price. I ordered 4 of these only needed 2 but got 2 as a backup as I wanted to use them as a mobile projector for my group. After the first night of the tour, one of the cables was already damaged, resulting in a very yellow image. The crazy thing is that the one that broke was on the end where the cable was attached with no movement or reconnections. Soon the second did the same. I think it's quite a bit of crap to…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

This is a cable for computer accessories and peripherals

This is a cable. It has two ends, both fit as expected. Signals seem to flow from end to end as intended. It's pretty flimsy, but I installed it in a safe place so I'll probably never know if it could fail due to stress or strain.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • It's hard to remember, but it was

I travel with them in a mobile environment and I like them a lot. They are lighter than a regular cable and are easier to wrap around the monitor. BUT fair warning. They are a bit fragile and will NOT last as long as the thicker ones! I buy about 2 or 3 of these a year as the bend near the connector will break the internal wires fairly easily if you move it around as much as I have. I wrap them around the base of the monitor and then put them in a travel bag. (Worst thing to do with those…

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Not automatic

The screen is too thin, broke during installation

Ordered two of these recently. The site said I'd ordered this before, but I couldn't remember and couldn't find it anywhere in my setup. Now I remember why I threw away the first one because it broke trying to install it and it wasn't worth returning at the time. These two had the same problem, if the cord is kinked next to the connector it will instantly damage the wires. If you buy short cables, you're probably trying to fit them into a tight space so they're placed at an angle other than…

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good

Not the best quality, but definitely cheap!

VGA cable isn't the best quality I've seen, but it's good for the price. Works perfectly. The ends of the cables seem to be softer, so I doubt their durability. The video output resolution is limited to VGA and I noticed a significant difference to my projector's HDMI output. I had to return this product because I didn't know audio output doesn't work with VGA cables. Sound requires a separate output. I would have preferred the HDMI port option, which sends both video and audio over the same…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
