My wife's 2005 VW Beetle Cabriolet leaked during a cold ice storm we had recently. We needed a quick fix and didn't want to spend a lot of money on one of the most expensive car covers out there. However, we are thrilled with this car cover! It fits perfectly and is very easy to put on. Imagine one of those "cover cases" you wear in the hospital or outdoors, but big enough to fit in your car! It's more than strong enough to withstand the weather. And for the price, you just can't go wrong.

I am complaining about the quality of this car cover. This is the worst product I have ever bought from Amazon. When I first opened the box it was very flimsy (it really does look like paper, single ply), even the rope that attaches it to the car is ridiculously tiny and flimsy. After a month of use (mostly in the California sun) it became brittle and so fragile that it ripped everywhere (someone uploads pictures just like that). It's total junk! In the last 2-3 years I have bought 8-10 of these covers for my cars which stand outside. In the Southwest heat they will last about 2-2.5 years before starting to fail due to UV exposure. However, a "high quality" car paint that costs 2-3 times as much will last maybe 6 months longer in the same hot sun (I know because I started with more expensive paints before switching to them), so the "economy ' of these cases make them a better choice (at least for my situation). I liked this suitcase at first. It was light, easy to put on, had good elasticity, so it protected the car even in the wind. But after using it for maybe 6 months (I didn't wear it when I first bought it as the car was wet and I had to wait for it to dry) I looked out the window and saw that the car was not covered. I bought this case for my 2002 Thunderbird. The cover fit so well it seems like it was sewn specifically for my car. It seems protected from water and dust and reflects the sun very well. I've been buying this product for years on all my cars, it was cheap and interchangeable but only a few years ago when I had the vinyl top replaced on one of my classic cars (the only one with a vinyl top) and I noticed that part of the vinyl top had soaked up the metal material of the car cover. Pros and cons This is a very nicely made case, looks very professional and would complement any car in the garage perfectly pleased with the fit as it is accurate covers what was intended. The inner lining is soft to the touch, very pleasant material, the kit even has a cord and a cute little lock. I'm not sure if it's 100% waterproof, but it's almost. I got this for my first generation Chevy Volt. He barely fits. But my main issue is that it does NOT "reflect" the sun's rays as shown in the pictures and listing in the info. It absorbs the sun, they say. So maybe they sent me the wrong cover, but don't bother with a return, maybe just send the same cover again. It also came without the antenna hole patch.
