It works great, I put it in Subaru when I replaced timing belt

that I bought because it was recommended to me. In general, it can be smaller than the OEM but has a larger hole for coolant to flow through. Works with OEM gasket, works great on the car and at a lower price than OEM. Besides, it's not safe. Buy it, don't worry.

Pros
  • . Automobile
Cons
  • . I don't remember, but there was something

Failure to open less than 2000 miles

This thermostat failed to open but it does not maintain engine temperature. This is a new engine and I need to go back in the engine and replace all of the coolant with new as it is on the lower radiator hose. I will buy a genuine Subaru thermostat and contact MotoRad for a refund.

Pros
  • Engine Cooling and Climate Control
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Doesn't work in thermostats

Super installed when replacing the timing belt/water pump but doesn't open and doesn't work. The engine overheated 20 km, got lucky, managed to stop and let cool, refill overcooked coolant. Brought it home and put the old Subaru 21210AA120 thermostat back in. Works fine except I have an old part in the car. Subaru's discussion forums state that only a Subaru OEM thermostat should be used with this part, not an aftermarket thermostat. I should have been careful.

Pros
  • Thermostats
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Observant Subaru Owners

Although this thermostat is an option for the Subaru Outback, it is much smaller than the stock thermostat. I installed this motorcycle thermostat in my 2001 Subaru Outback and it caused my car's temp to go to the 3/4 mark and I was afraid it would overheat my car. I replaced it with a Stant thermostat and my engine temp is back to normal. I would also like to say that Revain's customer service has been great! They solved this problem by putting the customer first, as always. Great job Revvan!
