🧽 OptiWipe Blade Review

These blades were great at first but quickly stopped rattling on the windshield. One star off for the difficult installation compared to the plug and play Bosch badges. Subtract another star for the chatter, the banding.

They had a solid plastic frame and didn't perform as well as metal frame motorcraft blades. They work just like regular ones you can find in auto parts stores. Sometimes they don't make contact with the window all the time, causing them to jump around and make that annoying rubbing noise. I have used metal frame Motorcraft blades on various vehicles for years and they have always worked well.

I've been buying wiper blades for years and this is the best I've seen. Enough adapters for each end of the wiper. Don't panic when you open the box if you have the latest Ford model with sliding hook brushes. They will fit 2013 Ford OEM levers with "B" adapter. Simply replace the associated universal adapter with "B". Not quite the original look, but you really have to look closely to see the difference.

I bought these wipers for my field trip a few months ago and tried them for the first time the other day as it hasn't rained much and both wipers don't wipe about 4 spot - 5 inches on the windshield. Totally useless as it doesn't wipe the center of the windshield where I need to see. I've never had wiper blades work as badly as new ones. Some motorcycle parts are far from original OEM and should not be sold as "Ford Parts".

I don't think I've ever bought OEM wipers but I've seen these and the price wasn't out of the norm. I left town a few days later and waited too long to replace the ones that were originally on the car. I figured OEM meant they would fit properly and since the originals worked well these should fit too. Well they did. They arrived true to size and cleaned the windshield streak free. I can't guarantee that next time I will do my best to buy original wipers, but I will definitely do it again.

These good quality wiper blades are definitely a lot better than the Trico brands you will find at your local auto parts store. However, these are NOT original blades, although the model number on the box matches exactly that listed in my Ford Escape owner's manual. In fact, however, they are universal blades with a set of adapters included - even Ford to use. Otherwise they are the same as the original blades on my machine - same construction and design.
