Causes interference and loss of reception

Great idea, I use the Motorola XTS 5000 for work Because of the short radio, it doesn't tickle my armpit and doesn't stick out to the side. However, this was accompanied by a significant loss of reception and a huge increase in static electricity. I wish it worked better but I need to be able to hear my radio.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • There are nuances

I have a Motorola APX 8000.

I had a very long cellular antenna. He kept poking me in the armpit. It's bolted directly to my radio and I have exactly the same transmit and receive capabilities. I live 13 miles from my work. Of course you have to have a good radio system at work, but these are my findings.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad

I have a Motorola APX 8000.

I had a very long antenna for a portable radio. He kept poking me in the armpit. It's bolted directly to my radio and I have exactly the same transmit and receive capabilities. I live 13 miles from my work. Of course you have to have a good radio system at work, but these are my findings.

Pros
  • Portable Audio & Video
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Does not work on Motorola XTS5000

I had to return it. The product description says it works with Motorola XTS5000, which is only partly true. The range is terrible. If you're only patrolling within a 10 mile radius of the check-in, this will work. Nothing else will be picked up. Also does not intercept the frequency of the repeater. If you work in a large area, this is not for you.

  • Electronics
