Very neat belt. I bought it just for the looks, but it didn't disappoint. It takes a little getting used to, but it's worth it. It was difficult to get it to get the right stiffness. You can't really tighten it while there's tension, so it took some trial and error, but it only took a minute. Now it stays set to the right size and simply snaps into place. I have a 32" waist and cut the strap down to about 6" to get rid of the excess. I have no problem threading it through men's belt loops.

I picked up some cheap heavy duty Revain buckles here to wear this and this buckle belt. Replaced the hip belt on my Ogio motorcycle backpack and I really like this one, much better than the plastic thing it came with. A few cuts to adjust the connecting parts, the ends can be easily melted to avoid wear over time, and the buckle is very comfortable, easy to work with motorcycle gloves. I can absolutely recommend.

I have bought several different 1.5" heavy duty straps - different types of buckle options. I think this is the most flexible option and fastest to open when needed. The main thing with this belt is to use it for its intended purpose - like any other belt we don't put the buckle through the loops - also on this belt. The highest quality belt I've ever had. I work in construction and every few months I go through the waistline. I don't know if you can break this thing. The buckle is a little too big to fit through most belt loops, but one side of the buckle detaches easily so you can thread it through pant loops. A bit odd if you've never used a tactical sling before, but it seems much more durable than a leather sling, holds many tools, and holds up well in an industrial setting (also good in a tactical situation if you use it as intended ).
