With previous Ram products I have purchased I have found the overall quality to be good but not great. Various parts always work but look rough. The last thing I bought wasn't cheap but the quality was very poor. The piece of metal between the balls was rough, and the finish was rough, as if someone had hand sanded it into a round shape. I keep watching it and thinking, who would have thought that acceptable. I will think twice before paying a high price for something this gross in the future.

Ordered two ball adapters. There was a 1/4 inch difference between them in length. The quality of the wave was also very poor. Are these made in the USA?

Great addition to my Ram phone mount on my Harley. With this Doo-Dad and another short extension, I was able to move the Ram's phone stand so that it didn't get in the way of the control switches in my left hand. Expensive but worth it.

When used on a Cessna 172 fork, a steering knuckle as pictured and recommended RAM did not have adequate clearance for a 10" iPad. Adding this extra hinge worked miraculously. My favorite seat is always still the classic above the yoke and you can now see all the tools, circuit breakers, free knees etc. It's not ideal for lots of gear but it's very secure and certainly this little addition made everything affordable, deserves 5 stars.
