I'm 5ft 2ft and 170lbs and this is small. I definitely can't wear this on my hips, but I can definitely wear it on my waist (which is exactly what I planned to do). He's definitely too small. I have less than an inch of fabric left before it no longer fits me at all. But it's super cute. Serves its purpose. Great belt, especially for the price! It's a thicker webbing which I like and easily attaches anywhere on the belt. To keep the belt from dangling, I tuck it in from the side and it looks great! The brown color corresponds to the picture, it has a slight red tinge. A few other reviewers have complained about the smell, to be honest when I put my nose in I smell plastic, a chemical smell, but who smells their belts all the time? Otherwise I don't notice the smell, so no problem for me!

I bought this for my daughter and it's perfect. I don't know what other reviewers are complaining about because the belt just smells like leather, which is a pleasant smell for many people. With us, the "villages", the skin smell is pleasant, lol. Maybe the big city slickers complain about that lol. I bought a red belt and it's more of a reddish brown which suits us. As my daughter is a 'teen' it is great to be able to use the space in the braid for the belt holes and will allow her to continue
