Why double the price per night?

I have been happy with this dog food (my dog loves and eats it) and have been ordering it from Amazon for years. But since my last order arrived less than 2 weeks ago, the price per box has gone from $13.66 to $27.27. Why does it suddenly cost twice as much? I am a very, very dissatisfied customer at the moment.

Protect the dog's mouth: Dogs

My dog has allergies and I thought it came from the food. His mouth hurt so I gave it exclusively to him. He was fine until he got better and started crying whenever he felt me cooking meat. I put a teaspoon on his pieces and I'm happy. But not for a permanent diet. I'll keep it in case of "unforeseen circumstances".

My dogs love it, but in my opinion there are .

My dogs love it but I find this food has too much sauce and not enough real nutrients. So I mix it with dry food and everything works fine. I took off a few stars because the ingredients contain soy which can cause allergic reactions in some dogs. The most common food allergies in dogs are soy, wheat, corn and chicken. I try to stay away from them.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Great food idea

My dogs were interested in this food when I first fed it to them. However, they didn't eat it after that. I tried to convince them that being vegetarian is good, but they don't believe it. So I have to say it's ok, but not just in its appeal to my dogs. I really like the idea of a vegetarian dog food. I don't like other animals dying to feed mine.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Rough can of carrots

So I've been buying this dog food for about 2 years now and it has gone from a delicious stew like the picture on the tin to a literally gross looking overcooked carrot. My dog went from love for her to hate. I'm sorry I didn't give them another chance in this latest case. We've already had to throw away three cans because my dog is starving in her bowl. We now have nine cans of raw carrots left! So disappointed, nature's recipe!

Great Healthy Vegetarian Food - Dogs Don't Need Meat @

My dog loves this food! As a lifelong vegetarian, I have chosen to feed my pets the same food, but finding such food is almost impossible. I was so glad I discovered this brand! Incidentally, many people think that dogs cannot thrive on a meatless diet - this is a complete misconception, largely caused by dog food manufacturers who also try to discount meat foods that contain grains - also a complete misconception! Unfortunately, many vets also encourage meat-based foods for most pets…

My senior rescue dogs love it. Nutritious. Human. Accessible.

I'm vegan and animal rights activist, so I don't want to feed my rescue dogs body parts of other animals. The dogs I adopt are getting older and have probably never eaten vegan food. Everyone loves Nature's Recipe Vegetarian Stew (and its companion dry food). Each jar is densely packed with small, recognizable chunks of vegetables and plant-based protein in a very thick sauce. I add a full glass of warm water to each food jar, which keeps my older pups replenished and hydrated. So far 10 boxes…
