This is a good inexpensive necklace for a child, but the figaros are not soldered together so could easily fall apart if snagged on something. If you don't want to spend a lot because it's for a child then I would recommend this necklace. Just be prepared that you will eventually have to "fix" it.

Bought a 22 inch cross for my son. He'd wanted one for a long time but didn't want to buy an expensive chain and walk across the street to lose or break it at work. Since it was only $11.99 it was worth trying how long it would last and if something happened to it, it wouldn't be a great loss. It is beautiful and the gold color looks the same color compared to my 14k gold chain and cross. Beautiful and looks authentic.
