Good value for money but you also need to buy a mount

Fairly good stand c. You really need a hand and a wrist to be fully useful. I recommend every photographer or company to have a pair because they are very comfortable, durable and large.

Pros
  • Fits a lot of people
Cons
  • Reliability

Heavy and solid. in lighting

I've never had a problem with this stand. It's heavy and very durable. I have sandbags but I haven't used them. The stand is heavy enough to support a 10-foot boom and microphone at near-maximum height without wobbling.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • boring packaging

Great!: Camera and Photo

I'm tired of carrying about 100 pounds in sandbags to weigh down my luggage racks. I've never had to use a single sandbag with this thing unless I'm shooting on rough ground or in high winds! Very strong, very heavy and very strong! I love it! No complaints!

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Storm Chasers Only - Lighting

Probably the hardest posture I've ever seen in my life. I would be happy about 20 pounds. The only time you'll ever need a rack that big is if you're a goddamn storm chaser. That's too much for the average photographer. I mainly shoot weddings and that's too much to bring to the location. Only buy if you want to shoot tornadoes.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Good price for a well-made C-stand

I have C-stands from several other manufacturers. My favorites are from Matthews but this one is great value and very well made. I like that each column is spring loaded so they cushion if the sections go down too fast. I also like that the bars can be detached from the legs which makes transport a lot easier.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Flaws

it's heavy which I like as I don't have to carry sandbags.

Now I want to order more. Yesterday I had a session on a beach with an uneven surface. I was able to maneuver my legs to keep the stand from tipping over when going uphill. It's also heavy which I like as I don't have to carry sandbags around with me! I really can't say anything positive about this stand. I've been through so many junk stalls. Save money and grab a few! You are hired!

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Sad device
