I get the best experiences from them.

If you're asking me how you can still get the most out of your set top box's flash, I'd definitely recommend having your own set of reflective umbrellas. This is the best choice for those who are on a tight budget and you can also use constant light to refract or soften the light with these three different types of umbrellas.

Pros
  • Finally got it
Cons
  • Not sure

So far, so good! in Lighting Controls & Modifiers

I chose Neweer over some others because the frames looked heavy in comparison. I was happy when it came in a carrying case ready to be recharged. It sucks when you get a case and after using it you can't just fit everything in it. So far I've only used it indoors for a quick test, but for the money it's a good set. Umbrellas aren't bad, although I plan to buy a larger umbrella as long as they work well. Good price!

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Almost Everything Is Here

VERY economical for what you get. The stands are a little flimsy, but still reliable and functional. It works as advertised and does it very well. If you're just starting out and want to experiment with light, this is a great option. Combine this set with a good pair of softboxes or octoboxes and you're good to go. Add in some Altura flashes and Bob will be your uncle. :)

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Reliability

Great starter kit! in light & studio

Unbeatable for the price. Just like this one. If you are a beginner and want to get into umbrella photography, this kit is for you. If you're a pro or someone who's going to be tuning it all the time, keep taking it apart, spend a lot more money and buy something professional that's built for it. It is not. But if you're like me and just want to dive in or don't want to spend a lot of money, this is a great option.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Nothing

FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY! (Or heavy sandbags)

This set is extremely economical and makes a good starter set, however the shades are a bit small for a large set. The only real downside is that umbrellas have no effect whatsoever. I broke 2 of them in a shoot due to my mistake using them outdoors even though I had about 4lbs of sandbag on them. They fell in the wind, the umbrella caught the fall so the torches weren't damaged, which was good, but the inner metal parts of the umbrella were completely broken. Please USE THIS INTERIOR, also use

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Decent set for the price

I was a little worried after reading some of the previous reviews, particularly regarding the quality. But when I received the kit and installed it right away to test it, I found the quality to be quite good, of course you can't expect professional studio quality for such a price, but you won't be disappointed with a rental. Everything is neatly packed in a carry bag. The stands are quite stable, the holders for umbrellas and flashes are also well made and everything works. The set does wobble…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Good but not great

heaviness. The enemy is the best at umbrellas

3 stars make this camera unreliable as flash clamps are unreliable. Whilst I need to update my review of the Godox TT685 flashes which need updating to reflect 'reliability' I found these units to have been thrashed for falling out of the clips on the Neewer racks a couple of times. Aside from the paranoia of the flash falling to the ground when a bird farts, I love this system and its portability is fantastic and I've had good shooting results. Could we take a few extra minutes to make sure…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged
