My son wears these to varsity football. He loves her! Usually wears 2 to 3xl, we ordered XL for compression and it works much better than your normal size in regular clothing.

They are really thin and don't offer much compression but I did NOT buy them for those qualities. I knew from other reviews that they are quite thin and I can confirm that they are very similar to underwear and I would not wear them alone. I bought these as a base layer under the ASICS unlined shorts. For this purpose they are perfect and the price is fair. If you are not going to use the item for this purpose, look elsewhere. I'm 6ft 270lbs muscular but slightly taller. Love it. Breathing is good, they fit perfectly, the cell phone stays in the pocket well. I only have minus so far? The stitches in the crotch are a bit scratchy but will disappear after a while. However, this does not violate the terms of the contract. I'm ordering more today.

If you usually wear medium ones I would suggest trying the small ones first. They will probably work as they fit a size 32 waist. Tight enough to hold items in place and flexible enough not to compress. You can ditch your regular underwear and just use this.

Real compression shorts. The fit is solid and they will keep your quads warm when worn in cold weather. Due to the rigidity in the fit, they have light traction.

Bought the set a few months ago and will be back for new ones. I've used them for running and as scuba gear for cycling shorts. You hug the right places. The seams don't rub. And I was surprised that I could actually put things in my pockets even though there was no drawstring. If you're on a fence... just jump. Super comfortable.
