This was a gift for our grandson for his 19th birthday. Looks very good. The leather case is also very nice. I want our grandson's name engraved on the compass. However, this was not recommended. But we are still happy with our purchase.

The compass has a fixed position for the directional arrow, then I moved it to the unlock position. Then the needle finds a direction. It's cool to watch. I think it protects the mechanics when riding with it. It feels sturdy and cool to open and close the case.

My son loved this graduation gift. We were really impressed with the quality. It makes a robust and well-made impression. It's a nice weight, feels solid. It has a lever to lock the needle so it doesn't keep wobbling as you walk. The leather case is convenient to store and carry, attached to a belt. Very satisfied!

Very good quality, I was impressed. A bit confusing when you first open them, they should probably come with a mini guide. Came with a free gift of a small hourglass on a keychain but the sand goes through them so quickly I'm not sure what they're used for. Husband loves it and I would recommend it to others (maybe even buy it for hiking).

This company may be a closely guarded secret that deserves more attention. They may pretend to be small, but in my opinion they are huge. arrives earlier than expected. looks good and is well made. The only problem is that East and West are wrong. if you look east, you say west and vice versa. gone outside in case something inside is blocking the read but still pointing in the wrong direction. North and South are accurate. bought as a gift. Let's see if we can fix it, otherwise we'll have to send it back. sad face

Our son loves nature and history so his discovery was special and he was very moved by it. It's an old look and a quote that touched us both (since he just moved out himself). Looks just like the picture, shipping was pretty quick and I've had no issues with the seller, shipping or the product. Just a word of caution for those looking to engrave that copper is a soft metal so stamping is probably your best bet.
